Downtown construction season

The Traffic Tracker

Traffic is hectic downtown. The Traffic Tracker aims to keep the community informed, so that when you're headed downtown you know what to expect. Websites can opt in to show the Traffic Tracker to their audience free of charge on their own site, just by embedding a few lines of code. 3DKeene maintains, updates, and interprets the realtime-traffic data, and lets anyone use the widget for their own use (personal or commercial).

CLEAR

You're fine. No real delay.

SLOW

A couple extra minutes: usually lunch, school pickup, or a lane shift.

HEAVY

Backed up. Check the map and come in another way.

CLOSED

Marked by hand from the city's closure notices: traffic sensors can't see a barricade.

NO DATA

Couldn't reach the traffic feed just then. We'd rather tell you than guess.

The numbers come from TomTom, the same traffic data your GPS uses, checked every 20 minutes or so. The day counter started when shovels hit the ground on July 13, 2026, and the little timeline follows the construction timeline.
